Flagstaff Area Lakes (southeast)
Jul 01, 2017 - 7:53 AM - by Bucksnort
Three weeks ago, I planned a trip to fish some of the lakes southeast of Flagstaff - the Mary Lakes and others. It was disappointing because the four lakes I visited had water that looked like chocolate milk. I can put up with the wind but I prefer clear water. The only lake with clear good looking water was Cow Lake, which is about .5 miles from Kinnicknick and which does not have fish.

In the most recent fishing report from AZG&F, there are two photos of anglers in two... [Read More]

San Juan flows
Jul 11, 2017 - 4:17 PM - by SJDrifli
San Juan is back to 500cfs after a long spring flush. Texas hole on down is still a little slow. Texas hole on up is fishing really good. Good dry bite early and late. Water is finally starting to clear. Should be a good summer. Hoping the river got a good scouring. Also they are going to be doing a Simon canyon project to divert the wash to keep silt out on that area. I will keep you posted as I get more information.

Carp fishing in north Phoenix ??
Feb 21, 2017 - 3:13 PM - by Pinetopbob
Unfortunately, I have relocated to North Phoenix in December and have been thinking of the large carp fishing here in the valley.

Can anyone give me some directions to some carp fishing in the Cave Creek/ 101 area of the valley??

Reels for sale
Jun 30, 2017 - 6:46 PM - by theapachetrout
I have a Redington drift reel that I would like to sell. It is the 3/4 model in black with a Rio Gold spooled on it. Looking for $120 for it. It's in good shape with small small nicks and scratches from normal use.

Well-deserved recognition
Jun 18, 2017 - 7:28 PM - by aztightlines
Flipping through the latest edition of Fly Fisherman magazine, I spotted some familiar designs in cork grips, under the "Artwork You Can Hold" article on page 30.

Seems like our own resident guide and poster mvtoro received a good plug on his Timmy Grip art on cork handles...congratulations, man, though this seems to be just the tip of the iceberg of your contributions to the fly fishing world.
