Denver area suggestions for Thanksgiving 2018

Any suggestions y’all? Outside of a couple hours, last month, on the very urban Platte I’ve never fished there. This would be a day trip and I’d prefer for the drive to be 1.5 hours or less. Will be staying in Centennial. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

River Flow Volume

A little help, please.

I learned early that one of the most important decisions I could make before heading for a river or stream is to determine water volume. I was able to use the internet or telephone for determining cubic feet per second in just about any river in Colorado. If Deckers was 300 cfs and Elevenmile Canyon was 100 cfs, I would be in Elevenmile or at a lake.

Next week, I'm exploring Dead Horse and some other locations east of I-17. I'm reading about the lagoons at Dead Horse. Does anyone have advice for me about fishing the lagoons for trout? Thank you.

I reckon it makes sense that since Tiger's are feeding up for the winter, they would be bellying up to the buffet line to store up on energy reserves.
