Lower Salt River
Nov 13, 2016 - 3:48 PM - by Ed Mashburn
Good evening to all- In my very rare free moments since I've been in AZ, I've been scouting around looking for fishable waters.
I have spent some time looking at the Lower Salt River. Of course, there are far too many people there, but to be honest, I was impressed with the potential of that little river.
I've fished in the nutrient poor and acidified waters of the Smokies, and I've fished in the nutrient-rich and well-balanced trout waters of the Ozarks- the White River and the... [Read More]

Contact
Nov 29, 2016 - 2:54 PM - by Bucksnort
Before moving to Gilbert, I communicated with one of the members of this forum. During one of my trips here, last summer, we met at the La Rista restaurant for a few minutes to introduce ourselves. In the move to Gilbert, I lost your contact information which was on a piece of note paper and, I cannot remember your forum login name. Will you contact me by way of a private email. At the restaurant, we discussed dove hunting and fishing. I want to ask you a few questions. Thanks.

Here is the first of four episodes

Philip Chavez who is the Production... [Read More]

Surprise find at Walmart
Nov 23, 2016 - 4:04 PM - by PaysonLazerLiner
Just in case anyone is interested: I was in my local Walmart and saw that they were carrying Cortland brand fluorocarbon tippet material for $10 (also had Cortland mono for $2) a spool so 3 or 4 bucks cheaper than it usually is other places. Also, they started carrying a Hodgeman lightweight hip boot wader for $40. I usually wet wade and have never owned or used hip waders but decided to give them a try and was really please with their performance. I used both yesterday on a local stream and I... [Read More]
